CueLook Pty Ltd
Uber did it for cars already on the road. OpenTable did it for tables already sitting empty. CueLook is doing it for the chair.
CueLook is an on-demand hair and beauty booking platform that turns empty salon chairs into booked revenue. Customers discover nearby availability and book now or later, matched by time, location, service, stylist and price. Salons put spare capacity in front of customers who are actively looking, attract people who would not otherwise have found them, and lift chair utilisation without adding fixed cost.
Traditional salon-management software manages the demand a salon already has. CueLook captures customer intent and directs it to available capacity, which is a different job and a different business.
Salons pay 1.7% of completed booking value. No monthly subscription, no setup fee, no lock-in contract, and no fee unless a booking completes.
Over a nine-week pilot in a Sydney CBD salon, 40.8% of the 679 services the salon completed were booked through CueLook, 277 bookings in total, and 396 new customers registered with the platform. CueLook is now live across four salons.
CueLook is raising A$1.5 million at an A$6.0 million pre-money valuation, with A$300,000 already committed, to accelerate salon acquisition, technology development and market expansion, including native iOS and Android apps, chAIr Intelligence and AI-enabled functionality.
