Long Pipes is focused on developing and deploying its Fluid Highway® technology for a range of applications, including low-cost water transportation, as well as the, transport, and storage of low-cost "Raw Wet CO₂." Long Pipes technology will significantly reduce the cost of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) projects as it does not need to remove water and other impurities that is required to protect steel pipelines.
Long Pipes is also developing their technology for cost-effective transport of Hydrogen for both domestic and export projects. It can of course also be used for natural gas transportation, produced water from shale production, sour and sweet oil, and slurries for mining operations.
One of the most significant advantages of the Fluid Highway® is its ability unlike steel pipes to be deployed alongside or under high voltage power lines which can greatly decrease the time taken for a project to obtain 'right of way' permits. For example, this allows for faster permitting for the transportation of gas from the Permian to the Gulf of Mexico in the USA of for Raw Wet CO₂ for CCS in numerous locations, including the Gulf of Mexico, Gulf of Thailand, or through Europe to the North Sea. The possibilities are endless, and the impact of this technology will be global.
Long Pipes is currently in negotiations with several large international energy companies for numerous global markets/projects, indicating significant interest in their technology.
